This carpet has a FusionBac backing with the strength and durability of an action (hessian style) carpet and a thin layer of felt to help prevent scratches and scuff marks as you fit it. As with an action backed carpet we would recommend laying this carpet over an underlay. Underlay comes in different thickness and densities but using a quality, thick underlay can help increase the life time of your carpet as well as adding extra comfort and insulation as you use it.
